PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) — A Pembroke Pines man has hit the jackpot!
Luis Gonzalez, 56, claimed the $1.2 million Lucky Money jackpot from September 4th, Florida Lottery officials announced Wednesday.
He chose to receive a lump sum payment of his winnings meaning he got $894,474.43 as a one time payment.
Gonzalez had bought his ticket from a Publix supermarket located at 2501 East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
There were other winners in the game.
The total ticket sales for the September 4th drawing generated more than $1.3 million for the Educations Enhancement Trust Fund.
The next drawing is set for Friday, September 11th. The jackpot is now at $500,000.
